Sealuno Inventory (the “app”) is a companion client for the Sealuno business platform, published by Gate Wall Studios LLC. It connects to a Sealuno server that you sign in to.
Sealuno’s hosted service is operated by Gate Wall Studios LLC. If you use it, the data you enter or view through the app is sent to and stored on our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and is handled under the Sealuno Privacy Policy. If your organization runs its own self-hosted Sealuno server instead, your data is stored on that server, which we do not operate. Either way, your business data goes only to the server you point the app at. Separately, the app sends usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase, as explained under Analytics and crash reports below.
The app includes two Google Firebase services:
Both start automatically when the app opens, before you sign in. The app does not currently have a setting to turn them off.
What Firebase Analytics collects. Google’s standard automatic data: events such as first open, session start, time in the app, the screens you view, app updates, app removal, operating system updates and app errors; and device and app details such as the app version, the app store it was installed from, device brand and model, operating system version, language, and country (worked out by Google from your IP address). It uses an app instance ID, a Firebase installation ID and your device’s advertising ID to tell devices apart.
What Firebase Crashlytics collects. When the app crashes or stops responding: the technical details of the error (the stack trace, the error message and the state of the app’s threads), the device model, operating system and app version, screen orientation, free memory and storage, whether the device is rooted, the time, and the Crashlytics and Firebase installation IDs. Crashlytics also records when app sessions start.
What we do not send to Firebase. The app does not send your name, email address, user ID, password, workspace name, phone numbers, items, vendors, customers, orders, photos or any other business data to Firebase. Firebase receives only the automatic data described above.
Who processes it. Google processes this data under the Firebase and Google Analytics terms. See Privacy and security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy. Data is sent to Google over an encrypted connection.
How long it is kept. Crash reports are kept by Google for 90 days. User-level and event-level analytics data is kept for the period set in our Firebase settings (Google offers 2 or 14 months). Aggregated reports that do not identify a device may be kept longer.
How you can limit it.
Your business data is controlled by you inside your Sealuno account: manage or delete it there. Signing out removes the session token from your device. Your server address, last user ID and app preferences stay on the device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.
If Android backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the app’s stored settings (including the server address, last user ID and session token) in your device backup, or copy them to a new device when you transfer your data to it. Your password is never included, because it is never stored.
Analytics and crash data held by Google is kept as described under Analytics and crash reports.
To delete your Sealuno account and its data, see Delete your account and data.
The app is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
